Taking a life course approach to improving women’s health.

The Women’s Health Research Program undertakes population-based research to determine the health care needs of younger women, women at midlife, and older women, and clinical trials to evaluate novel therapies for unmet clinical needs in women’s health. They have unique expertise in sex hormone action, deficiency, and therapy.

Critically, they take a holistic approach to women’s health research by incorporating psychological and sociocultural factors, as well as biological changes, and include women across the female lifespan to provide a life-course perspective.
