My wife of 14 years is type 1 diabetic. Being married has improved her blood sugar. We balance each other emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. The security I provide has brought her peace, and she has had an excellent A1C for many years. God blesses us in ways we cannot imagine!

I must say in all honesty, that diabetes is bad if you make it bad. And in this video they made diabetes sound awful. Which it isnt. Diabetes is a very controllable disease, in the way that if you eat the right things, live the right way and inject the right amount of insulin you can be in control of your glucose. Diabetes isnt a problem. Key things are enough sleep and a good sleeping schedule, a good diet and exercise. Ive had diabetes for 5 years, and its not anything that makes me sad. At all. And i dont feel "different". Everyone has something to take care of. Just make sure you always have something sweet on you, and if youre unsure of what dosage of insulin you should inject, go a little lower than what you think.

I wish they trained him to bark during the night because what if she's too far asleep? You can barely feel nudging. But barking will wake you up faster

We have had a diabetes dog for several years. It was also a wonderfull tie. Now it was us paying back, and it was not a problem.

Thank you! At 70 I do feel overwhelmed and afraid for me and my dog. The vet told me yesterday he has diabetes, pancreatitis and cataracts in both eyes. My question is, do most people choose 7am & 7pm to feed their dogs? It seems like 12 hours is a long time between meals.

My last dog got diabetes. I wish I had seen this video then. Unfortunately in Australia insulin is extremely expensive ( nearly 7 times the cost of insulin in Canada) I had to go into debt in the last year of her life as I was on a pension. However she managed really well for quite a while

  24. The Dog Book Company

My dog has Diabetic Ketoacidosis, will he go into a coma? Because Ketoacidosis makes his Diabetes different, and I am not sure if he still has normal Diabetes.

  27. william D.salinas

Lovely video content! Apologies for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you considered – Patlarny Sugar Outcome Principle (probably on Google)? It is a great one off product for reversing diabetes without the headache. Ive heard some decent things about it and my m8 after many years got astronomical success with it.

  28. Slem Harris

Thank you for the video which addresses many of the questions one has with a diabetic pet.
