Learn how to set fitness goals and meet them with our 90 day fitness and nutrition program
This video will show you how to create fitness goals and how to meet fitness goals in a way that actually helps you get motivated. There are many types of workout goals you might have from the aesthetic, to health related, to even sports or performance related. That’s why workout motivation is so important…because you need to maintain your motivation to see how to achieve your fitness goals. In fact, having fitness goals helps you stay motivated to achieve them.
In this video we discuss types of goals, and how to achieve your workout goals. One type of fitness goal is aesthetic goals. For these types of workout goals we recommend you track your progress with measuring tape instead of the scale. Another way how to set workout goals that are aesthetic is to choose a specific piece of clothing you’d like to fit into and try it on weekly. Finally you can try to take progress photos, which often help greatly with fitness motivation.
Rather than a specifically aesthetic goal, you may have a bodyfat range that you’d like to get to. To learn how to reach your fitness goals in this regard, you will need a calipurs or a specialized scale to help you measure your bodyfat levels. Measure once every couple weeks to see real changes and not feel discouraged.
Your fitness goals may be more health related, and may involve not just you but also your family. If that’s the case, that’s a wonderful goal. A great way to meet nutrition goals is to schedule out your meals for the week or month. Some women set goals based on how often they want to do a certain workout or activity. Other women try to set performance based goals such as trying to do 10 pullups or 10 full pushups. Choosing performance based goals such as these is a great way to learn how to achieve your fitness goals.
Finally, everyone should choose a self-image goal. Working on positive self talk is important, and journaling is a great way to track your progress in that regard.
Here are the different types of fitness goals discussed in this video:
1) Aesthetic goals – track with measuring tape instead of the scale. Always measure at the belly button. Or have clothes goals – set aside a pair of pants and try it on once a week. Taking progress pictures are another great way to track.
2) Bodyfat goals – You can try a calipurs or a home scale that measures bodyfat
3) Health goals focused on nutrition or getting healthier – Benefits both you and your family
4) Workout schedule goals
5) Self image goals – work on positive self talk, journaling is a great way to track it
