Strength Coach Brian Klepacki, MS, CSCS, FMS, CISSN has over 15 years of training experience. Brian shows you step by step how to design a personal training program for any client at any skill level. Ultimately the goal for ANY personal trainer or strength coach is to instruct a quality workout that meets the goals of his or her client. That goes for beginner level, intermediate or advanced level clients.

By the way, Brian is more than your average personal trainer…in fact he really ISN’T a personal trainer at all. He’s a strength coach.
He graduated college with a Masters degree in exercise science and got his certification with the NSCA as a certified strength and conditioning specialist…notice it says strength coach and not a personal trainer. He is ALL about human performance and gladly shares his insights and expertise to help any trainer over the globe create the right PT session for their client.

Hi I absolutely love this I qualified a couple of years ago on a very fast course which I felt was too quick and being dyslexic found it hard to understand some parts, I teach classes and hopefully in time would like to go into more wellbeing coaching. . I would like to further my knowledge if there any course you would recommend I would really appreciate any guidance.

I just began training people then got hired at my gym. Thank you for this. It was a great help. 🙂

Would you recommend going to NASM or ISSA To get a solid certification? I’m a lifetime super bodybuilder looking to start training people the right way. Just don’t quite know where to start.

  12. UnSpoken Conscience

Bro I just pay close attention. You said you trained hundreds if not thousand of people over tha past 15years. I call bullshit. So you assessed followed up and all. That would atheist put you at 66 clients every year you been in the business bullshit and schooling bullshiy. You may have done group training but you have not personally trained individually over 1000 people and was successful yeah right.

  13. Daniel Bowton

How do you determine rep and set ranges for clients?

  14. Taylorboy1108

Please can you design me a program I want to work on abs and upper body ( have no equipment)

I have the knowledge, but I'm nervous for my interview today. Im still a little unsure on what specific lifts to structure each individual client with. I know a lot of technical information, and use them on myself, but I'm not that great of a speaker either. I guess mostly im just brand new to this, and im generly a quiet person. I hope the gym im applying to is willing to understand im brand new, and help me learn to be a professional PT for the first time

bro, I cannot believe they payed you 6 dollars for a session. that is insane. lifetime fitness had a good pay structure to start off… worked there until i quit and started my own PT biz. Charge 70 and besides taxes keep 100%.

  18. Jason Zen Tokuda

think of working there as a paid apprenticeship in personal training.

  19. OneManBran

What about fitness managers? Do They get commission pay or salary? I know personal training at LA Fitness is basically commission

  20. Warped Reality

I'm an APTD and this is spot on if your looking to make money as a PT you want to be master trainer so you can earn a percentage for the session rate instead of a set 6$ pay rate

  21. Dillinger86

I had a personal trainer at an LA Fitness in San Diego back in 2006, I remember it costing almost 1500 dollars, for a 30 minute session 5 days a week for a month, he was just out of high school too. I wonder how much he was making, kind of pisses me off that most that money didn't go to him.

  22. Nick Osgood

Never work for la fitness/ esporta Completely unethical company and will be going under very soon. I was a trainer there for almost 3 months before leaving. if this comment gets enough attention i will share the completely fucked up story of what they got away with.

  23. Austin Downes

    You’re 10 and you’re a personal trainer lol.

  24. Oktay Berk

You should definitely apply to Lifetime Fitness bro. LA fitness pay is ridiculous…

  25. Mike Jones

I had a membership to la fitness in San Diego for three years, the employee turnover was incredible, about every three months they would hire 10 to 15 new trainers almost all of them would be gone in two months.

  29. TheSalvaDoorian

Is this why every trainer at LA looks like they have no clue what they’re doing ?

  30. Alex Serrano
