K.C. was initially diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer in 2015. After receiving chemotherapy and radiation, her healthcare team was not optimistic—her cancer had spread to her lymph nodes and progressed to stage 4. K.C. sought a second opinion in Houston and began treatment of nivolumab. #CIM18 #PatientStories
She responded to the immunotherapy immediately, and her recent scans show no evidence of disease. Today K.C. continues to work full-time and experiences new adventures with her two daughters, Avery and Anna, and her husband, Joey. http://www.cancerresearch.org/patients.

Please pray my father had a cancer at 4th stage
It's been over a month and a half since they found the cancer but I haven't had one bit of chemo yet. All I've been doing is struggling with effed up receptionists who even question the doctor on 'how things work.'. I'm getting really tired of it because everyone blames me. I feel like I'm all on my own.
One day we wil beat cancer!.
How to enrol in a clinical trial?
Light and love to all the people who have been treated and cured, also praying for the disliked thumbs down
This touched my ❤️
I just wonder why this kind of treatment is not standard so many years later. My brother died 3 weeks ago from lung cancer and no one ever gave him this option, just horrible chemotherapy 😭
I unfortunately was just recently diagnosed the lung cancer thats in lymph nodes as Well I'm 37 btw. Have any suggestions?

WHAT IS IMMUNOTHERAPY?? IT WAS NEVER EVEN EXPLAINED. Please don’t click bait people looking for answers!! Thumbs down.
I finally got cured, since after 2 years I'm now Free❣️💓💓 I appreciate God
Cytotoxic treatments like chemo only increase 5 year survival rates by 2.3%
The cancer then hides in fat cells(correct me if I'm wrong) and reestablishes itself after a few years.
TWO POINT THREE PERCENT!
WHY are we having trouble getting these newer, more successful treatments accepted as the standard of care?
Immunotherapy really should be standard. Sad that it isn’t.
What type of lung cancer did you have?
