It is important to understand what diabetes is in order to prevent it. Some of the causes for diabetes, include being overweight, family history, sedentary lifestyle and ethnic predispositions.

Courtney Melrose talks about some of the lifestyle changes you can make to prevent or manage diabetes. Courtney is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator at the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center.
