Summary:
1. Mac And Cheese
Starting off with the ultimate American comfort food, macaroni and cheese doesn’t just fill your heart but also your soul.

2. Meatloaf
Meatloaf might have dipped in popularity but we can’t deny the fact this delicious dish is a comfort food for many Americans!

3. Veggie Chili
Nothing beats a steaming hot bowl of veggie chili. Not only is it soul food, it’s loaded with vegetables which offer fiber and deliciousness that makes a hearty meal for the whole family. It is also a great weight loss meal because of all the protein and good fat.

4. Tacos
Wait…I don’t have to give up on tacos? Sweet! This healthy, low carb taco will come as a good news for every diabetic taco lover.

5. Pizza
If you’ve stopped ordering from dominos then good for you! The pizza you get at these outlets and fast food joints are packed with unhealthy ingredients.

6. Burgers
Burgers have nothing going for them when it comes to being healthy. They’re deep fried, breaded and contain harmful red meat like beef, pork and lamb.

7. Spaghetti and meatballs
Nothing spells comfort better than a bowl of silky spaghetti with meatballs. There are many delicious ways to make a healthier, diabetic friendly version of this classic italian meal which we all love. You just have to think outside the box.

8. Fried chicken
Fried food in general is heavily breaded, contains saturated fats and is considered to be one of the unhealthiest foods.

9. Pot roast
Pot roast can be referred to as a meat curry with vegetables. Sound healthy? Not really! A typical pot roast contains meat, carrots, potatoes and any vegetables you like.

10. Tomato soup
Masquerading as a healthy food, tomato soup can be rather unhealthy, especially for diabetics. When made correctly tomato soup can be your best friend due to its high antioxidants, vitamins and flavonoids content.

11. Brownies
You heard that right! Your beloved brownies are here to stay. Brownies have too much sugar which is the only marker for developing diabetes.

12. Fish sticks
This fast food is an American favorite especially as a side dish. Every aspect of fish sticks is unwelcome news for diabetics.

Sorry Bro…just did a test with Crusty Fried Chicken seriously breaded. 98 at the beginning and 2 hours later 127 on the Blood test… its the french fries with those chicken Strips thighs or breasts. At the four hr mark 102. And you don't need 90% Hamburger for meatloaf to be Diabetic friendly … and ANY White Flour, or Wheat turns to sugar, period. Almond, Oat, Barley, in place of is recommended. I make a House Crowned Worlds Best Waffles Almond, Oat, and regular Organic White baking…with and without Blackberry's in it and Pecans… supper satisfying… Oh, and don't go Gluten Free as it removes the necessary protein from the flour unless you are blending like me.

Dammit…why do all diabetes food channels rush through the cooking or have doctors presenting. Can’t we just have a normal cooking channel but for diabetics🤦🏻‍♂️

So I was born and raised into a family who is diabetic. And due to some severe health issues all changed their diets. So my entire life I ate nothing but diabetic friendly foods. Something I would just like to throw out there to make people aware is that what I at least was taught is that you should not eat things like pasta, wheat, corn, potatoes, anything with wheat flour, anything with sugar. The reason that you don't want to eat the pasta, corn, potatoes is because those types of things actually turn to sugar in your liver. So I'm seeing corn used a lot here and I know that it raises blood sugar levels. So it's just something that I really want to throw out there.

Whatever foods that are made with gluten rich wheat and refined flour, our intestines won't be able to absorb nutrients from foods that are had along with it. So gluten is not good for health. Rice, Millets are even more healthier options.
